LADIES BAIT YOUR OWN HOOK PROGRAM COMES TO OKEEHEELEE PARK IN GREENACRES
WEST PALM BEACH--The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the City of Greenacres Leisure Services Department will hold a "Ladies Bait Your Own Hook" instructional fishing clinic from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 14 at Alligator Pavilion in Okeeheelee Park.
This free event is designed to introduce women to the basics of fresh water fishing in a "friendly, relaxed and non-intimidating atmosphere," according to clinic coordinator, FWC Lt. John Reed. Further information may be obtained by calling: (561) 642-2181.
Rods-and-reels, lures and bait will be provided by the FWC for participants who don't have fishing gear. Reed emphasized that the instruction is custom-designed, emphasizing a low key, laid-back approach to the sport.
Although the clinic is oriented for women, Reed said that anyone can participate: male or female, young or old. Those over 16-years-old are reminded to bring a valid 1998 freshwater fishing license.

Comprehensive fishing instruction will be provided lakeside at four different stations. Subjects include:
