FWC SELLS HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSES ONLINE

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is selling hunting and fishing licenses through its Web site.

In addition to costs of licenses and permits, customers will be charged convenience fees ranging from $1.95 to $3.95, depending on the vendor selected. Vendors selling licenses on the FWC Web site will include eAngler.com, Link2Gov and the Manatee County Tax Collector's office.

According to Susan Weaver, chief of FWC's licensing and permitting, customers will be issued an authorization number that will enable them to hunt or fish immediately. The vendor then will mail licenses within 24 hours.

The FWC encourages tax collectors' offices, sub-agents, bait and tackle shops, groups and organizations to link to this site and offer this additional service to their customers.
