Ridge Rangers Newsletter

Fall 2009 Newsletter PDF (4.5MB)

One of the best ways to learn all about the Ridge Rangers volunteer program and the endangered ecosystems along the Lake Wales Ridge is by reading our quarterly newsletter.  Each edition is filled with articles like:

  • Active Volunteer Spotlight
  • Conservation Topics Along the Ridge
  • Current Volunteer
  •  Opportunities Highlights of Recent Volunteer Activities
  • Information on Rare Ridge Species
  • Land Manager Profiles
  • Mail-in Volunteer Registration Form

This newsletter is the main link of communication between the volunteer coordinator and the volunteers. All of the opportunities available are clearly outlined in every edition. Volunteers can decide which opportunities are the best fit, then let the coordinator know via mail, e-mail or telephone.

Our newsletter is one of the benefits of being an active Ridge Ranger volunteer. Many retired volunteers also continue to receive the newsletter to keep in touch with conservation work along the Ridge and the volunteer community. Once you request to receive a newsletter, your name will remain on the mailing list until you ask to be removed.
