This calendar was created for landowners managing their habitat for wildlife and includes useful tips and monthly reminders. Posted October 2, 2008: The National Wild Turkey Federation is giving away free mast-producing trees to its members again this year. Applications must be submitted by December 15, 2008. This program is being offered by the Division of Forestry to non-industrial private forest landowners. The goal of the program is to minimize southern pine beetle damage in Florida by helping forest landowners reduce the susceptibility of their pine stands to this destructive insect pest.
