Perdido River WMA access closed due to flooding March 27, 2009 The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) issued an executive order Friday afternoon temporarily closing all roads to vehicle access and use within the Perdido River Wildlife Management Area. The action is necessary because of high and dangerous water levels, widespread flooding and road damage caused by a severe weather system that has dumped more than 10 inches of rain in the Escambia County area over the past three days. The area-wide closure will remain in effect until further notice. |
