Special Opportunity Turkey Hunts

turkeyLooking for that Outstanding Gobbler? Then try the Special Opportunity Turkey Hunts, which are designed to provide an exceptionally high-quality turkey hunting experience. These hunts receive their "special" status because they are held on large areas of public land with a limited number of hunters allowed. This reduces the likelihood of disturbance from other hunters and provides an added measure of safety. Most importantly, the areas' habitat, management activities, restricted hunt periods, low hunting pressure and relatively high turkey populations provide hunters ample chance to see, hear and harvest an adult gobbler.

For details on the program, important updates and information about how to apply, call the Commission's quota hunt office at (850)488-8573. General information on turkey and other Special-Opportunity hunts can also be found on the program's web site.

Our mission: Managing fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and the benefit of people.
