Disaster Preparedness for FWC Employees

The information below is provided as a convenience for FWC employees to access from their home computers.

Tropical Storm Ida Update - Nov. 9, 2009

Due to Tropical Storm Ida, FWC offices are closed as follows (all times are CST):

• Escambia County - FWC offices are closed until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10.  All employees assigned to Escambia County will be eligible for administrative leave. 
• Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties - FWC offices will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 10.  All employees assigned to these counties will be eligible for administrative leave.  These closures will be in effect through 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10.

These closures are subject to change and may be extended. Depending on further developments, other counties and offices may be closed as well. 

Employees should stay in touch with their supervisors for further information.  As always, supervisors should be accommodating to those employees who are not eligible for administrative leave but need time off to deal with developments related to the storm.  In those cases, annual or sick leave should be approved by the supervisor.
