The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) adopted the Bald Eagle Management Plan on April 9, 2008. The permitting regulations outlined in the Bald Eagle Management Plan are now in effect. Three types of eagle permits are now available through the FWC, these include: Disturbance permits  (168KB): For situations where there is a potential for the disturbance or take of eagles. Nest removal permits (117KB): For situations where an eagle nest is causing a threat to human health and safety or a threat to the safety of the bald eagles or their eggs or nestlings. Scientific collecting permits : For research and data collection needs. The FWC highly encourages potential permit applicants to read the state and federal management plans to see if a state and/or federal permit is necessary. The FWC also recommends that you review the step-by-step guidance to avoid disturbing eagles before beginning the permit application process.
