Threats to natives: 

Species Account: Native to Asia. One hundred birds raised in Florida were introduced by the FFWCC into "the Everglades region" in the 1960s. Apparently, they did not become established. No sightings were ever reported. In it native habitat, it lives in forest undergrowth, scrub, and cultivated lands.
