ContactsImperiled Species Section Imperiled Species Management section is responsible for the implementation and evaluation of imperiled species management and recovery plans. Major responsibilities include: - Implementation of federal endangered species recovery plan tasks
- Development of proposed rules and regulations to safeguard critical habitats or to reduce adverse population impacts
- Providing imperiled species-specific scientific support to state and local governments for planning purposes
- Providing scientific support for permit reviews
- Coordination with researchers and species management experts to develop and evaluate management plans, and
- Coordination of survey and monitoring needs with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Institute
