Planning and Policy Coordination

In July 2009, the FWC's Strategy and Planning Office and Office of Policy and Stakeholder Coordination merged to become the Office of Planning and Policy Coordination (OPPC).

Under the leadership of Nancy Linehan, OPPC provides the following services:

  • FWC strategic planning;
  • Operational measurement and analysis;
  • Performance-improvement methodology and support;
  • Human dimensions coordination;
  • FWC inter-agency commenting coordination;
  • FWC rule-development management;
  • External stakeholder engagement and facilitation;
  • Climate change team coordination, Florida Wildlife Legacy Initiative representative and stakeholder database management

Boats 16 feet and longer must have at least one USCG-approved throwable Type IV PFD per passenger - immediately available in case of a fall overboard.
