Within each region you can check out our quarterly forecasts for major fishing areas, or you can get our 2008 recommendations for the top bass, bream, catfish, crappie or striper locales (see link table below).  Some information on fishing seasonality is provided showing regional temperatures ranges and at what temperature some fishes spawn and feed most actively, and a link explaining the solunar theory and providing access to calendars that predict peak fishing times.  Clicking the clock/thermometer above will take you to a very detailed weather site, where you can get forecasts, historic weather information, moon phase, tide charts and sunrise/sunset times.  For general information on what lakes are available in an area by zip code or city, check out TakeMeFishing.org's fishing site finder.

Please note that the Department of Health has revised their guidelines for fish consumption.  These advisories do not affect your ability to enjoy recreational fishing with your family and friends--they just relate to how much fish you should safely eat for their health benefits/concerns and from where.
