Volunteers needed for Pine Seedling Planting in June

The Florida Forest Service and the Ridge Rangers will be doing a special two-day pine seedling planting to restore damaged wildlife habitat near Frostproof in the Lake Wales State Forest on the first two days of June. Over 2,500 seedlings need to be planted and we’re hoping you’ll come join us! For more information and to sign up, please see:

The Ridge Rangers are an organization of volunteers helping to restore wildlife habitat on the Lake Wales Ridge and nearby areas in central Florida by doing group workdays and individual efforts directly on conservation areas.

The Ridge Rangers are sponsored by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and work with all conservation agencies on the Lake Wales Ridge.
