Station 6 – Marksmanship

Hunter education students should be able to properly demonstrate that they can safely and effectively handle a firearm before going afield.  During this station, students demonstrate an understanding of safe firearms handling and rifle marksmanship through the live-firearm of a firearm.



FWC Facts:
Adult white-tailed deer in Florida average 125 lbs. for bucks, 95 lbs. for does. The Key deer subspecies is noticeably smaller, averaging just 27 in. tall and 55-70 lbs.
