Returning Quota Permits

If you are unable to use your quota permit, you may return it to the FWC to be re-issued to another hunter.  If you would like to return a permit issued in Phase I and have your preference points re-instated (and an additional preference point awarded), it must be postmarked prior to the first day of the hunt.  If you plan to return your permit, please do not wait until the last minute - return it right away. Returned permits will be available for re-issuance the beginning of the month (see schedule below) after they are received by FWC.  Permits returned during the same month that the hunt is scheduled cannot be re-issued.

Returned permits should be mailed to:

Office of Licensing and Permitting
Attn: Quota Permit Returns
2590 Executive Center Circle, Suite 200
Tallahassee, FL  32301

Certified mail is recommended if you want a receipt of returned permits

Re-Issuance Schedule and Blackout Dates:

Returned permits that are received by the Office of Licensing and Permitting by the end of the month will be added back to the system during the blackout dates (see below) and will be available for reissuance as long as the hunt has not already passed.  Please note that returned quota permits will be available for reissuance beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time according to the schedule below, and will not be available during the blackout dates.  Blackout dates allow FWC staff time to add returned permits back to the system so that hunters can view permit availability.
