VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

On-Water Interpreter, Collier County
Engage the public through one-on-one or small group size interpretation; promote stewardship by instilling a sense of responsibility; and, establish a Team OCEAN presence on the water.

Boat Operator, Collier County
Assist Team OCEAN interpreters by safely operating, navigating, and mooring the outreach vessel at designated locations for outreach, as well as safely maneuvering the vessel close to other vessels for distribution of education materials and one-on-one education.

On-Island Interpreter, Collier County
Engage the public through one-on-one or small group size interpretation; promote stewardship by instilling a sense of responsibility; and, establish a Team OCEAN presence on popularly visited coastal islands in the county.

Non-Water/Island Interpreter, Collier County
Engage the public through one-on-one or small group size interpretation; promote stewardship by instilling a sense of responsibility; and, establish a Team OCEAN presence in Collier County at the Naples Pier, public docks, popular fishing locations, boat ramps, marinas, special events, fishing/boating stores, and parks.

Office Assistant, Collier County
Help out behind the scenes with data entry, copying, laminating, or outreach/educational materials assembly.

Occasional Service Volunteer, Collier County
Help out behind the scenes as an occasional office assistant. Or, work out in the field collecting boater survey data, being involved with beach/water-way cleanups, or collecting marine debris/trash survey data.

EVENT OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers are needed for events to help work information/display booths. Volunteers may cover portions of events as they are able and available. Times listed for setup and take down are approximate and will be confirmed with volunteer closer to event as more details become available. None of the time periods include travel time. Volunteers will need to provide own transportation to event locations.
