Bear killed by vehicle; someone removes claws

Someone removed the claws of a black bear killed Thursday night on U.S. 98 in Santa Rosa County. Possessing any body part of a bear is illegal, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).  

FWC, Coast Guard Auxiliary to train scouts on boating safety

To kick off National Safe Boating Week, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary have teamed up to train approximately 100 pre-registered local Boy and Girl Scouts on boating safety.
