Oct. 6 hearing set for Bull Creek area management plan

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission (FWC) and St. Johns River Water Management District will
conduct a public hearing next month to announce the proposed
management plan for the Bull Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA)
in Osceola County.
Required by Florida Statute 259.032 (10)(b), the
hearing is scheduled for 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the
Osceola County Commission Chambers, Room 4100, at 1 Courthouse
Square in Kissimmee.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive public
comment regarding the development of the FWC's 10-year management
plan for the 23,496-acre Bull Creek WMA. The meeting will
start with a presentation about components of the draft management
plan, followed by a question-and-answer session and public
testimony.
A management prospectus for the Bull Creek WMA is
available upon request from the FWC Conservation Acquisition and
