STA 5 has new entrance, check station for waterfowl hunters

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) reminds waterfowl hunters that the designated entrance and check station for Stormwater Treatment Area (STA) 5 has been moved to a new location.
As of July 2012, the entrance and check station for STA 5, in Hendry County, has moved from Blumberg Road to Deer Fence Canal Road, which can be accessed from County Road 835.
A brochure with a map of the new entrance and check station, as well as information on when and how waterfowl hunters may take advantage of hunting opportunities at STA 5 can be viewed at MyFWC.com/Hunting.
