Lake Rousseau aquatic plant management is the topic for the Jan. 31 public meeting hosted by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

This meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Lake Rousseau RV Park and Fishing Resort, on the southwest shore of the lake. Take County Road 488 west from Dunnellon or east from Highway 19-98 to Northcut Avenue. Go north to the end of the road and bear left to 10811 N. Coveview Terrace.

According to Terry Sullivan, regional biologist, “Those who enjoy recreating on Lake Rousseau are encouraged to attend and express their views and provide comments on aquatic plant management issues for this lake.”

There is also a survey available online, from Jan. 14 through Feb. 14:

“The information received from the survey and at this meeting will be used to help develop the aquatic plant management plan for 2013,” Sullivan said.

Special accommodations should be requested in writing at least 48 hours in advance. Please call 352-726-8622 for more information.
