Everglades-area WMAs open to public

The FWC). has rescinded executive orders that established special restrictions on portions of the Everglades and Francis S. Taylor and Holey Land Wildlife Management Areas. Rotenberger WMA will remain closed because of continued high-water levels.

FWC hosts iguana technical assistance workshops in Keys

The first workshop in this series will be held in Marathon on Dec. 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. local time at the Hyatt Place, 1996 Overseas Highway. Workshops are also being planned for Key Largo and Key West.

Public meeting to address managing aquatic plant life on Lake Okeechobee

The FWC will hold a public meeting from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, at the Clewiston Youth Center to address the management of aquatic plants on Lake Okeechobee.
