Blue Water Creek WMA encompasses more than 21,000 acres in Escambia County north of Pensacola. Access to this area is permitted only during hunting seasons and is limited to individuals with valid recreational use permits. A limited number of permits are issued each year. The area consists of rolling pinelands and hardwood swamps along Pine Barren Creek and smaller feeder creeks. Fifty acres of planted wildlife forage, ranging in size from a quarter acre to two acres, are found on the area. Blue Creek is one of the top-producing wildlife management areas for white-tailed deer in the entire state. Camping is prohibited on the area.
