Freshwater Marshes

Freshwater marshes occur on sites where the soil is usually saturated or covered with surface water for one or more months during the growing season. They contain sawgrass, spatter-dock, arrowhead, St. Johns wort, pickerel weed, maidencane, buttonbush, and spike rush.
