Fees

No Daily-Use Permit currently required. To hunt or fish you must possess the appropriate license and permit.

Facilities

Boat ramp access to Lake Talquin at the end of High Bluff Road, other ramps located around the lake include Hopkins Landing and Whipoorwill landing. Pier/wildlife observation platform at Lake Talquin; Aquatic Education Center programs are available for school or civic groups. To schedule call: (850) 933-4322.

Public Access

Year-round during daylight hours; closed to other activities during hunt days. Vehicle use regulations.

Location

Gadsden County between Tallahassee and Quincy. From I-10 take exit 192, proceed west on U.S. Hwy 90 2.1 miles to HWY 268. Turn left on Hwy 268 2.4 miles to Peters Road. Take Peters Road 1.2 miles to High Bluff Road and the entrance of Joe Budd Wildlife Management Area.
