Wet/Mesic Flatwoods

Typical plants include water oak, live oak, red maple, sweet gum, loblolly bay, American beech, and wax myrtle. Cypress domes occur where sand has slumped around or over a sinkhole. Common plants include pond cypress, swamp tupelo, and slash pine.
