HAB Events-Current Status
A harmful algal bloom (HAB) is the rapid growth of a toxic or
nuisance algal species that negatively affects natural resources or
humans. Check the current status of Florida red tide and other HABs
around the state.
Red tide status reports contain information about current red tide conditions and include sample results, a map, and information links.
Read about recent algal blooms or events that the Harmful Algal
Blooms Research group has investigated. Find accounts of earlier
investigations under Historical Florida HAB Events in the Harmful Algal
Bloom Archive section.
