Green Turtle covered in oil

This is a juvenile green turtle that was affected by the 1993 oil spill in Tampa Bay. After a thorough cleaning and some rehabilitation time at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium this turtle was able to be released into the wild.

Sea turtles range in size from the 75- to 100-pound Kemp’s ridley to the 1,300-pound, 8-foot-long leatherback.
