The Florida's Freshwater Priority Resources: A Guide for Future Management Adobe PDF was developed by the FWC’s Aquatic Habitat Conservation and Restoration Section and completed in November 2017. The priority resources guide assesses Florida’s publicly owned freshwater habitats and the fish and wildlife living there. Through a prioritization analysis, the guide identifies those resources likely to benefit from management, restoration and enhancement efforts. This provides accountability in making informed, science-based decisions while benefiting the fish and wildlife that depend on these resources as well as Florida’s citizens.

This interactive GIS map allows the user to locate priority freshwater habitat sites and see how they were evaluated.
