Species Account: This native
of Australia is a popular caged bird and frequently escapes in
metropolitan areas around the state. It seems to survive poorly in
the wild and is not known to persist in any area (Stevenson and
Anderson 1994).
Habitats: Central or core
urban area, Low density suburban development, areas peripheral
to core urban areas, and small towns.
